what We did:
our approach
We crafted a visual identity that paid homage to Chicago roots while creating a look that felt unique and ownable in the competitive barbering space. The project involved developing a distinctive logo system, a thoughtfully curated color palette mixing rich golf inspired tones with vibrant accents, and custom typography that balanced clean precision with handcrafted elements inspired by golf tournament scorecards.
The brand identity shows Municipal's core value proposition: "Where craft meets culture" – an elevated experience with wide open doors, welcoming a community of people who appreciate both expert craftsmanship and creative conversation.
BUILDING A COMMUNITY

Municipal is an upscale barber club concept based in Chicago's West Town neighborhood. The brand was designed to create a space that would blend expert barbering services with elements of local style and culture. What set Municipal apart was their vision to incorporate a golf simulator space designed as a curated lounge, producing an environment where precision craftsmanship meets refined social experience.
