Chicago startup Speede Fitness developed an innovative strength training machine unlike any of its competitors. The Speede Challenger was built by aerospace engineers and uses breakthrough muscle science to deliver the most efficient workouts, allowing athletes to get stronger, faster.
Not only was Speede backed by multiple investors, but we had a growing roster of athletes endorsing the brand and equipment, excited to let everyone know how powerful it was.
The Speede Challanger is the first of it's kind to provide a strength training machine compatible for the worlds best athletes. But it's not just a machine, it's an opponent. A tireless competitor who constantly finds your weaknesses and forces you to get stronger faster.
We positioned Speede as the ultimate machine for pro athletes to train on and off season keeping them in top physical shape while maintaining a sense of approachability for anyone up to the challenge of next level strength training. Our brand is luxury with a little bit of grit.
Being brought on for marketing as well as brand, we were able to work with Speede from all angles. Approaching sales and investors with pitch decks and informative videos to get them on board. Enticing and introducing athletes, scientists and influencers to the product getting them excited to partner with us. And finally, communicating directly with the consumer as we launched the product into the world.
Ambition, power, and persistence are all words that arise when discussing the Hero archetype. Compared to other archetypes, the hero can be perceived as inspirational and represents making change through their own sacrifice. Rather than avoiding tough challenges, the Hero seeks them out with determination to leave a mark for themselves.
The Source archetype believes in gathering reliable, factual information and sharing it with others for their benefit. Source brands are considered “experts.” These brands inform consumers and guide them towards making the right decisions.
Source brands never “dumb down” their marketing, as that could be perceived as an insult to the intellect of their target customers. Instead, a Source focuses on education, information, and sometimes exclusivity.
For Speede, a Hero and Source seemed the most obvious choice as they partner not only with professional athletes, but with scientists and doctors to back up their technology. We use bold colors, fonts and messaging paired with scientific evidence and proof to explain the benefits of the Challenger machine.
Working with them is super efficient, quick and always quality- which is what anyone in the startup world, knows they need."
